The PLC Specialist Diploma program is designed to provide our students with the knowledge and tools required to work in the field of industrial automation and control.
The PLC Specialist Diploma program is designed to provide our students with the knowledge and tools required to work in the field of industrial automation and control.
Supported by computers to interface with the systems and equipment, students are introduced to the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) of OMRON, Allen Bradley and SIEMENS programming systems, and Robotics hardware.
Upon graduation, the student will be able to read blueprints and circuit diagrams, design, install, program and maintain electronic equipment used in modern industrial processes, and work on every type of programming system, from the simplest fuses and motors to sophisticated electronic computer interface boards, motor drives, programmable logic controllers, solid-state devices and robotics.
Recognizing the importance of ongoing learning Stanford is pleased to offer additional pathways to education and credentials for our graduates. We are proud of our partnerships with other educational institutions and certification/licensing bodies.
As they provide an opportunity for our students to further their education and/or acquire additional credentials such as licenses to support employment. Here is the brief history highlighting our growth.
Graduates will acquire the skills needed to build, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot and manage PLC programs.
This course covers Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their use in automation applications.
Students will be introduced to the versatile Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) unit and will be able to identify the hardware components and their functions.
After completing this course the student will be able to identify all types of sensors commonly used as well as design and troubleshoot them.
This course covers the fundamentals of digital logic and an introduction to programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
