The Plumber Preapprenticeship in construction is a 1-year program designed for persons who would like to learn about installing, repairing, and maintaining, pipes, valves, and drainage systems.
The Construction Preapprenticeship program prepares individuals to enter a short-term training program that leads to a rewarding career pathway. It combines college coursework, mentoring, and paid wages ($14-$15) per hour. Preapprentices receive free tuition, Free books, and health insurance while on-the-job training.
During classroom instruction, participants will learn OSHA safety, blueprint reading, tool usage and other trade skills for a job in construction. Upon program completion, apprentices will receive a nationally recognized Certificate of Completion, with the opportunity of earning an industry recognized credential.
