The Plumbing and Heating program prepares students for a career in a high demand industry. They will learn a combination of skills in heating technology, along with plumbing training.

Plumbing and heating specialists work in private homes, in commercial and industrial buildings, and many choose to be self-employed.

Training Objectives

  • Perform installation, modification, repair and maintenance work on plumbing and heating systems
  • Maintain the piping of water supplies and drainage systems
  • Perform work related to piping and other components of hadronic, steam, forced air, oil, radiant and gas (natural and propane) heating systems
  • Become familiar with new technology, such as renewable energy (geothermal energy, solar energy, etc.)
