Plumbers may be involved in the installation of water conditioners, plumbing in residential houses and homes under construction, as well as industrial construction, and pipe fitting.

ATC will award certificates to students who successfully complete all requirements of this eight-credit program.

The Plumbing program at ATC is accredited by Apprenticeship Manitoba under the trade of Plumber. To receive credit for Level 1 in-school Technical Training and a time credit of 900 hours, students must:

We provide a unique service for students who wish to earn a Provincial Mature Student High School Diploma in addition to their ATC program certificate by offering provincially approved English, Math, and History high school credits.
We take pride in the success of our graduates many of whom have successfully entered the workforce upon program completion. Many others have pursued industry-led training programs or further college or university education.
Our staff work closely with industry advisory groups and maintain active partnerships to ensure that programs are relevant to student needs and compliant with business and industry standards. In this course, students examine the common tools, materials, equipment and processes within the plumbing field.
At the end of the plumbing course, you will be able to install and maintain water supply systems under supervision. These systems include cold water piping, hot water piping, fixtures, and water supply system repair.
The Foundational Plumbing Pre-Apprenticeship training program has been designed for individuals to train and learn about the trade of plumbing.
You will gain an understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the trade, associated tools and materials, that will help you on your journey to becoming a licensed plumber or pursuing many other construction-related careers.
You will learn the basics of plumbing including theory, code and blueprints, as well as gain significant hands-on experience
