In the classroom you will learn all about health and safety, the structure of the construction industry, environmental and sustainability measures, and the science behind plumbing.
This course is the perfect introduction to a career in plumbing. In our purpose-built plumbing workshop, you will learn to work with all the core plumbing systems, including above ground drainage, copper, low carbon steel, plastic pressure pipework and installation, repair and maintenance.

Assessments are carried out throughout the course both in the workshop and the classroom to prove your knowledge and skills, building a portfolio to prepare you to progress to level 2.
We offer full-time courses for school leavers including A Levels and vocational qualifications, full-time Access to Higher Education courses, part-time adult professional development, entry level and recreational courses as well as full and part-time degree level study.
Level 2 will suit you if you have some relevant plumbing and heating knowledge and skills, usually from a role where you've been supervised. (The Full-time option has been replaced by the Level 2 Traineeship. Please search for 10778 code or the word Traineeship).
Plumbing course is offered by Women’s Tec. We are proud to be the largest training provider for women in these skills in Northern Ireland, and we are even prouder to be at the core of our community of women.
This qualification will teach you basic skills in plumbing. It is for people who have no previous exprience in plumbing. The course can be studied either during the day or during the evening infilling in with our other plumbing students.
