Plumbing (Level 1)

Outline

Course content includes:

• Safe isolation of piped domestic water services
• Installation of clips and brackets
• Connecting copper pipework to appliances using a range of techniques
• Producing bends in copper pipework
• Connecting plastic pipework to appliances using a range of techniques
• Installation of traps and wastes to sanitary appliances
• Positioning and fixing of sanitary appliances
• The course is predominantly practical but will contain some theory sessions to support the knowledge required.

Progression

On completion of the course you have the opportunity to progress onto the NOCN L1 Award in Plastering for a further 15 weeks, developing your skills further, enabling you to skim wall surfaces. This is an ideal addition to your skill set, particularly if you are installing a bathroom. You will even learn how to tile a small area of the surface you have skimmed making this an ideal home improvement course!
