Covers fundamentals and applications of plumbing systems, which include potable water, storm water drainage, sanitary drainage and venting systems in buildings. Topics include the use of BC Plumbing Codes to size pipes for plumbing systems, and selection of materials and components.
Examples of design and development of plumbing system layouts for buildings will be reviewed. Completion of MSYS 2050 is recommended prior to taking this course.

This course is intended for practicing engineers, technicians and technologists and those concerned with the Municipal and Urban Drainage systems and Management of construction site erosion
This one-year certificate program will provide you with skills sought by employers and position you at the front of workers competing for entry-level jobs in the plumbing industry, including apprenticeships.Â
At the end of the plumbing course, you will be able to install and maintain water supply systems under supervision. These systems include cold water piping, hot water piping, fixtures, and water supply system repair.
Once you pass this course, you will be recertified as a cross connection control tester.
You will gain an understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the trade, associated tools and materials, that will help you on your journey to becoming a licensed plumber or pursuing many other construction-related careers.
