Ballet Also Teaches Commitment, Determination And Body Awareness
En pointe means "on the tip" and is a part of classical ballet technique. Pointe developed from the desire for dancers to appear weightless and has evolved to enable dancers to dance on the tips of their toes for extended periods of time.
The dancer performs exercises on the barre, in the center and on movements, which constitutes the structure of a ballet class
A classical style of dance that focuses on poise, technique, fluidity, and form, providing the foundation for most styles of dance. Students develop more advanced technical skills through barre work, centre exercises, and stretch.
National Dance classes are offered by The Dance Theatre Performing Arts. Short-term classes will be offered in various styles of ethnic dance throughout the season.
