An extension in the training of Ballet for the more developed and experienced student with the physical capability and strength required to support the body in pointe shoes.
Ballet a classical dance form that teaches technique, grace, posture and precision. Ballet is the foundation of most dance forms and allows to dancer to explore strength and beauty all at one time.
Pre-pointe and pointe classes are offered for those students who show a keen interest in continuing their ballet studies.
Students will be introduced to the importance of correct posture, artistry and presentation of their work as they progress through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance syllabus (ISTD). Students are placed in classes based on their age and level of experience.
Pointe is the most highly disciplined and physically challenging extension of ballet. Only technically proficient upper level students who have mastered the skills of basic and advanced movement will be selected to study pointe work.
