From how fast you can drive on the interstate to how you’re going to pay for college, politics and law impact nearly everything you do. While all those late nights spent watching House of Cards and Better Call Saul probably didn’t help much with understanding political and legal matters, a degree in Politics and Law will – if that’s “allegedly” your thing.
UTSA’s Politics and Law degree introduces you to subjects like constitutional and administrative law, legal research and writing, political theory and the legislative process. This program will provide you with the knowledge and analytical tools necessary to set you on the course to law school or work in government relations, administrative agencies, law-enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, attorney’s offices, the courts, political campaigns and more.
The best way to learn about UTSA is to experience it firsthand. Located in the nation’s seventh-largest city, our UTSA Ambassadors and staff are excited to showcase what UTSA has to offer you. We offer many ways to discover all UTSA has to offer and what it means to be a Roadrunner.
A college campus will be your home for several years, so touring campus is a big deal. Led by student ambassadors, see what our campus looks like and what UTSA can do for you to enable you to reach your educational goals. Group tours are also available.
More than just a campus tour, various academic or campus partners host in-person visits on campus that could include a presentation, specialized tour of certain facilities, student panels, a meet-and-greet with faculty and staff, and more.
The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (B.I.S.) program in Law and Society provides students an opportunity to acquire a career-oriented range of skills and knowledge about the law from social science and humanities perspectives.
