The Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship is a school-based initial teacher training route leading to Qualified Teacher Status. There are two possible pathways, one that allows you to specialise in age phase 3-7 (Early Years) and one for 5-11 (General Primary).

Who It Is Relevant For:

Anyone who wants to be a primary school teacher and already has a degree. You may already be employed in a school who wish to support you to train, you may be responding to an advert about becoming an apprentice teacher or you may be seeking an apprenticeship. Get in touch to talk to us about your specific circumstances.

Duration Of Course:

Full time for just over a year. The course starts in September, as all our other courses do, and QTS will be awarded in the summer term in line with our other QTS programmes, but apprentices will also complete an end point assessment (EPA) during the Autumn Term, to consolidate learning from their initial teacher training programme.
