This is a five weeks pottery class suitable for anyone fairly new to pottery and wishes to develop their skills in clay. A variety of hand-building techniques will be covered including throwing on the pottery wheel. Decorating and glazing your artwork are also explored in a way that encourages you to develop your creativity.

Covering techniques from hand building, throwing on a pottery wheel to glazing and firing. Our mission is to create beautiful ceramics artwork and to cultivate a great sense of well-being and personal growth. And of course, one of the best rewards of practising with clay is that it’s just plain fun.
The studio is located in the heart of West Hampstead, in a beautiful Victorian Warehouse, under the patronage of Kingsgate Workshops Trust. Ceramics Sculpture Studio opened in 2015 and is founded and run by potter designer and sculptor Cosmin Ciofirdel.
We are delighted to have Ellie back with us for a 4 week Evening Course. You'll complete a range of different projects including a pinch pot vase and a s'graffitto dish - learning different skills each week. The cost of the course includes all clay, firing and glazing costs.
Our ongoing pottery classes in London for this five session course continues your previous introduction to throwing clay. It equips you with a sturdy foundation from which to develop as a potter. You are advised to stick with the same tutor throughout.
Pottery classes are for all abilities. In every class, you are taught by trained pottery teachers to work through the process of making your own pieces.
We have introduced a series of new measures to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. We are ensuring that students are socially distanced from each other and have increased ventilation.
If you are new to pottery then over the first weeks of the workshop you will be shown the basics for working with clay from making thumb-pots and coil building to tile making and throwing on the wheel; this will also include simple decorating and glazing techniques.
