Program description
The Pre-Apprenticeship Welder program consists of 25 weeks in-school and 8 weeks on-the-job training to equip students with the basic skills required to secure a position as an apprentice.
The curriculum provides the student with common core Level 1 apprenticeship training, to increase the student's general level of knowledge about the Welding and Metal Fabricating industries.
Academic upgrading and employment strategies are also included in the program curriculum. Graduates may choose to pursue an apprenticeship in the Welder or Metal Fabricator trades.
