During our preschool gymnastics classes, your child will be assisted to develop a range of important and transferable skills. We will focus on their balance, coordination, strength and flexibility using a range of activities and apparatus, as well as developing their people skills by encouraging them to interact with other children and parents in the class.
Sheffield Gymnastics Academy was first started back in 2016 when coach Alana had a dream to start a small team of gymnasts to go to competitions. Soon after the success of the girls, the team grew and grew, not long after in 2017 SGA the academy was born. Along came Alan who helped the academy with his 20yrs plus experience, we soon realised that the sport was becoming popular and more and more children wanted to become part of the academy.
In 2018 SGA moved into our current home, a 6000 sf unit, home to state of the art equipment and full size apparatus. We now have over 10 coaches working all disciplines including baby gymmastics right through to adult gymmastics.
Whether it be a recreational class or a high competitive squad your looking for the academy has something to offer everyone. Were open every day of the week so were sure you can find a class suitable for you.
Gymnasts in this class train for approx. 12 hour a week and perform to a much higher level of skills on all 4 pieces of apparatus to enhance co-ordination, balance, body awareness and helps to develop posture, flexibility and strength.
Gold Stars- Gymnastics classes are offered by Rising Stars Academy Of Dance and Theatre. Our school offers a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where children and young adults can develop and expand their knowledge at their own pace.
Dance Gymnastics classes are offered by Spotlight Theatre Dance Studio. We pride ourselves on having a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, with our main aim being that pupils learn through fun and enjoyment.
Your child will be encouraged to explore and develop the basic motor skills in a fun environment. These classes we use the whole of our first floor gym, which has sprung, soft surfaces and numerous safety landing areas.
