Knits & Pieces has been welcoming knitters of all skill levels since opening in 1993. It is not your average yarn store: every pattern is custom designed to give you a unique look and perfect fit. In additional to quality yarns, Knits & Pieces offers a variety of buttons, from vintage to modern to hand-made by various artists including Irina, the shop owner. Knits & Pieces offers workshops, group and private classes, and invisible mending of hand- or machine-knitted garments.
We also offer free sit and knit - or crochet! - times where a group of individuals works on their own projects while enjoying the company of other attendees without the ongoing assistance of an instructor.Â
If you’ve never picked up needles or a hook (or if your skills are very rusty), you can take a Learn to Knit or Crochet Class.Â
Learn to piece and quilt by machine in this 8 part class. You will learn how to choose fabrics, use a rotary cutter, and make your quilt from start to finish!
Learn slip knot, Chains, Single and Double Crochet stitches. Basic Stitches holding the yarn &hook, making a slip knot, a chain, turning chains, slip stitch. Single, half double and double crochet.
We will meet 6 days in a two-month timeframe to learn new stitches and techniques, get any help that we need, and to show off our projects!
