Course Details

This training will teach you about decorating decorate realistic cupcakes with easy piping and coloring techniques. It includes learning about the basics of working decorating bags and piping techniques such as dots, zigzags, pulled dots and pull-out dots. 

 

What to Bring:

  • 6 Uniced Cupcakes
  • 1 X Packet of Mari Biscuits or any Round cookies of choice (We will need about 6-8)
  • Cloths (wet and dry)
  • Apron
  • Container to take your projects home in
  • Ruler
  • 2 Cups of Buttercream – 2 Cups will be Provided
  • 8 Disposable Cups or Bowls
  • Disposable cloth and paper towels
  • Toothpicks
  • Plastic Bag for Clean Up
  • Parchment or Wax Paper
  • Spray Bottle with water
  • Scissors
  • Butter Knife or Tapered Spatula
  • Couplers 
  • A small amount of icing sugar

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Mixing and coloring buttercream icing 
  • Using decorating bags and tips 
  • Piping techniques
  • The basics of working with buttercream icing such as consistencies, tinting icing, filling bags, and the spatula striping color effect 
  • Basic piping techniques that include the leaf, petal, bead and pull-out dot that are used to create life-like succulents 

 

Note:

  • Decorating kits can be purchased at the shop with the academy. You are required to confirm this before arriving. 
  • If you need Tip Kit, make sure to buy at the time of booking the class so the academy can make sure about the stock and make it ready for you. Payment is required to be made while ordering.
