Our Project Management Fundamentals training course is intended to familiarise you with the most common terms and practices relating to project management, so you will be a valuable team member for any organisation.
You will have a solid foundation in project management principles and techniques, allowing you to confidently manage projects and deliver successful outcomes.
You will first learn the fundamentals of what a project consists of: a temporary undertaking with a specific goal, a defined scope, and allocated resources.
You will then explore what project management entails: applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project requirements and deliverables within the constraints of time, cost, and quality.
This then leads to the different aspects of project management, including planning, organising, executing, monitoring, and controlling across the phases of a project lifecycle.
Building a business case for your project and prioritising projects based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and other factors, will enable you to allocate resources wisely.
Project planning tools like Gantt charts, critical path analysis, and risk assessment matrices will assist you in effectively planning and managing project timelines, dependencies, and risks.
This course provides a strong foundation to project-based work, and is a great pre-curser to further project methodology-specific courses.
