Students who study these two units will learn the skills and knowledge required to provide full body relaxation massages, and provide body treatments that incorporate body massage techniques, electrical currents, body scrubs and wraps.
It requires the ability to establish priorities with clients, synthesise knowledge of anatomy and physiology and lifestyle factors to design body massage routines, and provide advice on body products and protection from environmental damage.
Body massage can be a single treatment or form part of a series of treatments. Students will also operate specialised equipment with allied cosmetic products to design and provide body treatments addressing relaxation requirements.
This unit applies to beauty therapists who work in beauty salons, massage clinics and spas.

This qualification reflects the role of massage therapists who provide general health maintenance treatments. It does not reflect the role of a remedial massage therapist. Practitioners may be self-employed or work within a larger health service.

This course is delivered via face-to-face teaching, demonstration, and practical application. Students experience a simulated workplace environment, with access to equipment, products and facilities reflecting industry practice.
Our massage courses are approved nationally with the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT) and the Massage Association of Australia (MAA).On completion of the Whole Body Massage course you will be able to join the MAA or IICT.
