Food safety combines a number of practices to reduce health hazards. These include premises hygiene, personal hygiene, risk control, pest control and waste management. This level 1 course is about minimising the level of potential hazards in a food catering setting.
?This qualification demonstrates compliance with food safety law within licenses premises. A “must have” for anyone involved in food preparation and food service.
This qualification is designed principally for those handling and/or preparing food within a retail environment.
Level 2 Awards in Food Safety are suited for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
The Level 1 Award in Food Safety is for employees with no prior food safety knowledge, or those handling low-risk or wrapped food. Also suitable for waiting or check out staff, warehouse staff and kitchen porters.
