This module develops a deep understanding of employee resourcing and talent management within the context of career development practice. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the resourcing and talent management processes with organisations and so be able to work with their clients to support them within these processes. 

Learning outcomes
By the end of the module the student should be able to:

  • Identify the knowledge, skills, behaviour and challenges of resourcing and talent management within organisations.
  • Critically evaluate the knowledge, skills, behaviour and challenges faced by students, employers in talent acquisition and recruitment processes in the context of current employment market.
  • Creatively apply and integrate the knowledge and skills relating to resourcing and talent management into own career development professional practice.
  • Identify, describe, and evaluate the ethical issues in recruitment and talent management, and how to maximise the equality of opportunity in relation to recruitment and development
  • Communicate effectively by sharing information and discussing good practice in the design of Recruitment Practices and Talent Management, using the current course guides to presentation and referencing.
