People credited with this unit standard are able to: – demonstrate knowledge of the hazards associated with wearing a safety harness and associated equipment; – demonstrate knowledge of safety harnesses and associated systems and equipment;  – check and fit a safety harness system;  – use a safety harness system where a fall hazard exists at height; and – demonstrate knowledge of the rescue plan to be implemented in the event of a fall.

Participants will gain in-depth insights into the hazards associated with wearing fall arrest harnesses. They will learn how to meticulously check, fit, and proficiently use safety harness systems. Moreover, our training emphasizes the critical aspect of developing and executing effective rescue plans.

This training is highly recommended for workers operating at any height, be it on ladders, scaffolds, or trestles. It's invaluable for those required to use harnesses for Fall Prevention/Restraint (23229) or Fall Arrest (15757) situations. This includes scenarios involving being caught after a fall has occurred or when using any other height equipment as standard practice within their workplace.
