Ballroom and Latin Dance studio was established in 2008. Its a gateway to discovering the beauty and magnificence of dancing. We offer a full range of high quality instructions in International Standard/Latin, Social Ballroom/Latin, Salsa and Argentine Tango. Instructions are provided in the form of group classes, workshops, semi-private and private lessons.
For Winnipeg dancers interested in learning styles originating in Latin America, the Institute of Dance has a range of options. For students aged six to adult, we offer instructions in a variety of dance styles.
Vitor Freitas is a vivacious dancer, model and actor from Brazil whose dance styles include contemporary, ballet and ballroom. He has appeared in various TV shows and a Netflix movie, and has recently performed with Victoria’s Pacific Opera.
The samba dance is considered one of the most valued cultural expressions to Brazil; it has become part of their identity and it is considered “the heartbeat” of Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival.
