The Dance Academy, based in Thurcaston, is a friendly dance school, with a welcoming atmosphere.
We pride ourselves on originality and personality within performance and ensure all lessons are both developmental and fun! We are a family-oriented dance school that caters to the individual needs of each child we teach.

We welcome children from the age of 2 years upwards, offering weekly classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Acro.
Within these classes students have the opportunity to take part in Performance exams with British Theatre Dance Association twice annually.
Along side this, students perform in a Spring Showcase as well as in our Annual Show towards the end of the year.
Other performing opportunities throughout our calendar include local events, such as Birstall and Anstey Gala which are great opportunities for the students to develop their performance skills and self confidence.
Lyrical classes are offered by Candi’s School of Dance.We take great pride in maintaining a high level of encouragement and confidence building to ensure all our students talents in dance can flourish in our classes. We also feel it is important to create a welcoming, fun and safe environment.
Beginners Lyrical classes are offered by Dance Fusion Limited. We provide professional training in groups for children and adults. Whether you would like classes for Fun and fitness or are aiming for a professional career in dance or performing arts, Dance Fusion is the Place for you.
A fusion of Ballet and modern dance which is performed with a flowing skirt and bare feet, expressing emotion and feeling to the lyrics. Popular love songs an ballads are used for music and is a favourite among students.
