They have gone through the process of finding their way in the fashion world and know what it takes to excel and succeed. They are committed to giving back and nurturing the next generation of designers.
After 5 years of teaching exclusively hand sewing and embroidery at schools, Miss Shannon's Sewing opened up their own studio to teach machine sewing. At the studio children become familiar with a sewing machine. They start by learning how to thread a machine, make a bobbin, and sew straight lines...
Our Summer Sewing Camp is for kids ages 8+ and takes place Mondays through Fridays from 8:30am - 11:30am each day. Each week allows up to 6 students with 2 instructors or up to 4 students with 1 instructor.
DC Stitch, Capitol Hill’s sewing studio for kids since 2015, offers classes after-school, on weekends, and during the summer.
