DurationThe SIA Door Supervisor course is fully funded for anyone aged 19 and above (before the 31st July 2018) and in receipt of UC, JSA, IS or ESA or earning less than £15,700 per annum. This award comprises Principles of Working within the Private Security Industry, Principles Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry.
This qualification is designed for those learners who undertook their Security Officer qualification prior to March 2021. It allows them to meet their mandatory top-up requirements for Security Officer and to retain their SIA licence.
It is an upskilling course and from 1st October 2021, it has become a mandatory requirement. The course covers ways to recognise terrorism as well as minimising personal risk for security officers.
