The children’s enthusiastic response indicated their strong interest in the upcoming activities. The core focus of the training session revolved around the education of Indian Sign Language (ISL). Engaged and joyful, the children actively took part in these lessons, showcasing their enthusiasm and determination to acquire sign language skills.
Upon the successful completion of the ISL sessions, valuable feedback was collected from the children. Remarkably, it was observed that 80% of the children had effectively acquired proficiency in signing the alphabet from A to Z.

Svastya Overview
2.21% of India’s population are disabled, accounting for 2.68 crore individuals which include 20.42 lakhs children aged 0-6 years and 69% of them live in rural areas. Only 2% of these People with Disabilities have access to need based rehabilitation services.
Svastya aims to bridge the gap with its presence to provide services to all individuals, even to the most rural areas of our country. Our approach is based on the guiding principle of Who’s community based rehabilitation and international classification of functioning. We are also aligned with the UNCRPD act and SDGs.

Early Intervention
(0 to 8 years) that promotes the child’s age-appropriate growth and development and supports families during the critical early years.
Inclusive & Rehabilitation Program
(8 to 18 years) supports children with disabilities and their caregivers with various therapy, modify their innate behavior, achieve functional literacy skills ,pre vocational skills and enable them to step in adulthood with maximum functional capacity with self confidence and dignity.
Independent Living Program
(18 years & Above) empowers people with disability to be functionally independent, participate and be a productive member of society.
Sustainable Ecosystem Program
Is aimed at strengthening the existing linkages in the community by sensitizing and capacity building all the relevant stakeholders including Government – ASHA, ANM, Anganwadi, RBSK, PHC, Medical & Rehab professionals, parents , caregivers and peers.
