The Flour and Spoon sourdough baking class is an excellent chance to learn the secrets of sourdough success!
This baking class is suitable for beginners and more experienced bakers alike and runs for around 6 hours including a light lunch provided. You will prepare your very own sourdough starter, learn the techniques of stretching & shaping, and go home with a wonderful sourdough loaf, 4 sourdough bagels, and most importantly all the skills for continuing to make sourdough at home!

A cozy little Victorian cottage ideally situated between central Leigh-on-Sea and Belfairs. From the very first moment we entered this building, it felt like home. In the late 1950`s this building used to be a bakery so we are proud to bring old-fashioned traditional baking back to the local community. The large bakery allows us to focus on supporting lots of local cafés, hotels & restaurants but also gives us a fantastic space to run our baking school.
From the early morning dash for fresh sourdough to relaxing afternoons serving organic coffee and tea to go with a sweet delight from our patisserie, we are sure you will be coming back for more!
