DurationThe Instituto Cervantes is a Cultural Center of the Kingdom of Spanish. It is located in the University of Washington. If you’re thinking about continuing your studies with us or if you’re a new student, you can register for our courses. We have a wide variety of formats and levels, and all courses are taught by native Spanish-speaking instructors from Spain and Latin America.

Our teaching methodology is based on the latest research on teaching/learning foreign languages. With a hands-on approach, students are able to use the language in meaningful contexts from the early stages.
Our class size of 6–15 students allows teachers to give students a great deal of individualized attention. Teachers are highly qualified in Spanish, Linguistics and other areas related to the teaching of the language. They all have specific training on how to teach Spanish as a foreign language and Spanish for Spanish speakers.
General Courses
The Cervantes Institute is a nonprofit organization that was founded in Spain in 1991 to promote the teaching of Spanish and extend the cultures of Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries. Today, with over 70 locations around the world, is the largest organization devoted to carrying out this work.
The Aula Cervantes of Seattle is located in the heart of the University of Washington campus. It offers a wide selection of Spanish language instruction programs as preparation for the Diploma in Spanish DELE Examinations. In addition, the Seattle Aula Cervantes offers Spanish Virtual Classroom (AVE) courses and other training courses for both students and teachers.
Working with the Center for Spanish Studies, under the Ministry of Education of Spain, as well as with other Government institutions, Seattle’s Aula Cervantes serves as an antenna for the Cervantes Institutes in Washington and Oregon. Our mission is to assist and support all educational institutions in the use of our learning tools.
Our 1-on-1 classes and private tutoring are also for all ages. Additionally, Borealis Language Academy has developed business Spanish and English Programs regarding special purposes for various companies.
Spanish classes has been our most requested language since the day we started offering classes. Parents in every League community tell us that they feel that Spanish Instruction offers practical and cultural relevance for their children.
Our Spanish classes are developed to promote communication in the target language. We provide classes for school-aged children and for adults. Instructors facilitate the course primarily in Spanish to increase the language learning experience.
Our instructors are native speaking instructors with years of teaching experience and are passionate about teaching their language and cultures. Our goal is to make Spanish and other foreign languages fun, easy and as convenient as possible!
FALA offers fun and age appropriate in-person Spanish classes which uniquely incorporates different subjects such as STEM, cooking, sports and art that help children to develop language skills.
