For students majoring in other disciplines, we also offer Minor Programs in French Studies, German, Hispanic and Latin American Studies and Italian Studies. The Department has additional language courses in Classic Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Kiswahili.
Contact the Department for more information about these courses. The Department does not recognize a challenge for credit and does not give Brock credits for online or long-distance courses offered by other institutions.
This service is offered for all levels in the greater Montreal area, Laval, South Shore and North Shore. A minimum of 4 people is required in order to be considered for group lessons and an evaluation is required for group members.
The Level 1 Spanish course is open for all people wanting to acquire the basics of Spanish grammar as well as essential vocabulary and oral practice to communicate in everyday situations.
If you have little or no previous knowledge of Spanish, Beginner 1 is the right level for you. Learn pronunciation, expressions, and vocabulary that allow you to function in everyday settings.
During this course, you will learn the ABC's of Spanish pronunciation, the basic Grammar of the language and develop comprehension and "survival" speaking skills for traveling.
Beginner's courses in oral and written language; a prerequisite to the concentrated study of Spanish. Introductory courses for students who have no previous knowledge of Spanish.
