We believe one of the most effective ways to learn a language is by having uninterrupted conversations for sustained periods of time. Our teaching techniques have developed through years of hands on experience and enhanced by countless courses and books.
DurationWe offer 8 levels to all of our students. These levels are designed to push our students and allow them to continue learning regardless of their current knowledge of the Spanish language.
Level One
Beginner Structure & Conversation
Our extensive use of visual aids helps the student to retain the Spanish lesson and makes the course more interesting.
Level Two
Intermediate Structure & Conversation
Level two is a continuation of the previous level with more grammatical structure and practice to achieve and expand conversational skills.
Level Three
Intermediate Conversation
Level three develops vocabulary plus proficiency using projection transparencies showing typical real life situations.
Level Four
Intermediate/ Advanced Structure
At this level, grammar instruction is much more complex. You’ll be introduced to all the tenses of the indicative mood, the imperative and compound tenses
Level Five
Advanced Conversation One
This level is an intensive practice of conversation using every day situations. Your vocabulary will be increased dramatically and you will learn to converse in a more sophisticated manner
Level Six
Advanced Structure
You will learn active/passive voice, reflexive pronouns in all tenses, and compound verbs. This course incorportes the use of indefinite/neutral articles, certain verbs that need prepositions, and exceptions to masculine and feminine articles.
Level Seven
Advanced Conversation Two
Building on the previous levels, this is the highest level of conversation. The subjunctive mood will be put in to practice, as well as idiomatic expressions and detailed nuances of the Spanish language. Mastery at this level will be equivalent to that of a native speaker.
Level Eight
Literature Course
Our extensive course in literature.
The Spanish Language Center was established in 1986 by Luz Hutchins as a continuation of her lifelong education career, which she began in Mexico as an elementary school teacher. The school tailors its instruction to the particular requirements of the student, whether a high school pupil or a professional wanting to effectively communicate with Spanish speaking clients.
The school has developed a unique interactive-visual method of teaching which enables the students to be successful in their goals
Our 1-on-1 classes and private tutoring are also for all ages. Additionally, Borealis Language Academy has developed business Spanish and English Programs regarding special purposes for various companies.
Spanish classes has been our most requested language since the day we started offering classes. Parents in every League community tell us that they feel that Spanish Instruction offers practical and cultural relevance for their children.
Our Spanish classes are developed to promote communication in the target language. We provide classes for school-aged children and for adults. Instructors facilitate the course primarily in Spanish to increase the language learning experience.
Our instructors are native speaking instructors with years of teaching experience and are passionate about teaching their language and cultures. Our goal is to make Spanish and other foreign languages fun, easy and as convenient as possible!
FALA offers fun and age appropriate in-person Spanish classes which uniquely incorporates different subjects such as STEM, cooking, sports and art that help children to develop language skills.
