Course Details

This is an introductory-level course, designed for students with little to no knowledge of the Spanish language. An ideal first step for beginners, this safe and welcoming environment is suitable for those who wish to continue with Spanish language learning in the future.

 

Course content:

  • correct pronunciation, with markers on both 'Castilian' Spanish and 'Latino' Spanish
  • greetings and common expressions
  • cardinal numbers, colours, general vocabulary
  • calendar (days of the week, months, times of day) and being able to tell the date
  • likes and dislikes, hobbies and pass-times
  • the basic presentation of oneself (name, age, address, nationality, profession)
  • basic grammar concepts, such as: articles, the gender of nouns, use of formality
  • verbs and conjugation in the present tense (regular and irregular)

 

Course ends each week with a song to recap learning, enhance pronunciation and aid understanding, all the while offering some new vocabulary in a fun way!

 

Time: 06:50pm to 08:50pm

Schedule: 7 weeks, Thu 6:50 p.m. - 8:50 p.m.
