Gain Critical Skills To Enter The Mechanical Engineering Industry
Mechanical engineering is an incredibly diverse field where people range from totally unqualified individuals to extremely qualified professionals.
However so many routes within the trade are not defined. One example is that the people who fix air conditioners in your home can also be expected to calculate the heat tolerance of an airplane.
But what can be done is broad generalizations and generalized skills to ensure that the students career has a broad application and wide opportunity for a variety of roles and success. This is what we aim to achieve with our Specialist Diploma.
Modules:
Skills For Higher Education
When you progress from high school to university, there is a dramatic shift in the content, the way you learn, the way you have to think, and the way you are assessed.
Rather than let you figure it out for yourself, we jump start the process with this module.
Mathematics For Technology
Math is the language of engineers. You have to speak the language! Math might scare you but not after this module. Get the fundamentals right so we can build on a strong foundation.
Materials And Manufacturing
One of the first few things that you’ll be expected to do is to understand the materials used in your project (literally any kind of project!) and also how they are put together.
We’ve selected this module to be the start of your journey into Mechanical engineering because it’s usually a module that is overlooked and assumed knowledge. Be one of the few that really do know!
Mechanics
Once you’ve learned about the materials, we want to start assembling them. This could be a building construction or it could be a simple product construction. In both cases, natural forces act on the build and it’s components.
This forms a sort of project-like module where all your Specialist Diploma content comes together like working in teams, doing precise mathematical calculations, analysis of materials, and selecting methods that fit the project requirements.
Entry Requirements:
Minimum Age
16 years of age in the year of application
Minimum Academic Qualifications
O Levels (Minimum 2 Passes) or equivalent (e.g. SPM)

Specialist Diplomas are designed for industry-new comers who want to break into technology-focused roles across a variety of manpower-heavy industries.
These courses are designed as both vocational as well as academic so that you can qualify for cool jobs as well as qualify for university entry.
With 7 in 10 Singaporean’s becoming degree holders in 2019 (ST, 2019) a bachelors degree is an essential part of landing a decent job.
Part Time degrees are a popular way of earning your degree so you can keep your full-time job and study in the evenings. See how an engineering or technical degree can change your life.
These are programmes designed to give you the essential knowledge to perform in industry, and also recognized as being equivalent to the first 1 to 2 years of university.
You’ll engage in a variety of deep technology topics, develop an extensive skill set build through hands-on sessions and problem based learning.
Our Mission
Our Vision
This course will develop the core talent for the automated industrial environment. As factories move towards to fewer-humans and more robots, these graduates will be leading the charge to design, build, install, and maintain these cutting edge robots.
As a manufacturing engineer, your role is to evaluate the manufacturing process in the company, identify challenges, present solutions and implement them. Some of the roles includes identifying the potential improvements in the assembly or manufacturing technology
