The dry safety centres provide hands-on classroom training or onsite programs, allowing for customised safety and maritime training programs and curriculum that meet the stringent compliance and regulations of the industry nationwide. STCW Training is offered by Professional Yacht Training USA. Yacht crew training for professional yachtsmen and women in the mega-yacht industry. MCA and IYT approved courses available from beginner to advanced levels.Â
This course satisfies the Management of Medical Care training requirements for raising of grade to Chief Mate or Master (management level) on vessels of more than 500GT (ITC), and for Masters of vessels of less than 500GT (management level).
This course will also be of value to others who need First Aid and CPR training who may or may not operate vessels on the water who may not be seeking U.S. Coast Guard licenses, or whose experience is not up to the minimum requirements established under ideal conditions.
The Basic Safety Training course provides the necessary training to meet the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW 2010) code, tables A-VI/1-1 through A-VI/1-4 as required by the USCG and the IMO.
This 4-hour course is designed to provide a general introduction to maritime security and raise awareness of security issues when alongside, at anchor and at sea and recognition of security threats.
