Stress Management Training
This is an introduction session to stress, stressors and the management of stress in our daily home and working lives. The session will explore factors of vulnerability and self regulation, and will give the attendees an overview of the benefits of stress reduction and relaxation techniques as well as building knowledge for the future benefit of personal and colleagues mental health.
Target Group
Managers, team leaders, support workers who work in care homes, hospitals, community teams, mental health units, learning disability units, domiciliary agencies and Voluntary Organisations. Stress management raining is delivered to groups of up to fifteen learners.
During this session we will explore:
the definition of stress and eustress;
the symptoms that may result from stress;
learners’ own vulnerability to stress;
positive coping mechanisms for dealing with stress;
progressive muscle relaxation

Colin has over 19 years management and training experience in the healthcare sector and had previously worked at management level for national and multi-national organisations.
Colin has nearly 30 years medical knowledge behind him which all started in 1986 when Colin served in Her Majesty’s Forces for 13 years as a combat medical technician in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He has also worked in the offshore industry as a remote site and offshore medic.
Colin was presented with a Staffordshire Ambulance Service commendation in 2002 for stopping at assisting the scene of a fatal accident having saved the life of the critically injured driver before emergency services could attend the scene.
