There are two string orchestras available to join: Junior String Orchestra and Senior String Orchestra.

Each orchestra consists of violins, violas and cellos. Rehearsals (hour-long) are led by our senior strings staff and take place at either RMA or Lewis Eady, once a week on Sundays during the school term. Students will work on a range of repertoire to help build their technical, musical and ensemble skills.
Both String Orchestras will have the opportunity to perform as part of ASM & RMA’s concert series (e.g. Strings Showcase, Winter Strings Festival) as well as at other events in the community.
Albany School of Music was founded in 2016 by Grace Liu, Head of Remuera Music Academy (founded in 2013).

Our friendly vocal group is for women over the age of 18 - prior experience is not necessary. This warm and supportive group is designed to increase your vocal skill set and build an exciting and varied repertoire, with performance opportunities interspersed throughout the year.
The school provides Ministry of Education subsidised group music lessons for primary and intermediate age school students
Music is supposed to be a group activity – which is why playing music is always better with friends!
Perfect for students in the Free Beginner Classes and basic Affordable Group Classes. Under the guidance of Anna Maitland, children will learn to follow a conductor, work in a group, gain knowledge about orchestral etiquette, and hone their pitch and rhythmic skills.
The Manawatu Voices Choir is established for singers Year 5 - Year 10 seeing vocal technique and musicianship extension.
