Certainly! There are two types of tango: Ballroom Tango and Argentine Tango.
Ballroom Tango is made up of very simple step patterns to start with. Walk forward, backwards and on the side. Your steps will be large-ish walking steps and the timing is consistent and generally easy to hear. We suggest that once you have mastered ballroom tango and feel completely comfortable with it, you then look at learning Argentine Tango.
Argentine Tango is more difficult due to its intricate foot and leg movements and the connection needed to communicate timing changes. Unlike most other styles of dance there is no set Argentine Tango timing pattern. Instead the leader is tasked with dancing in time with the music as he interprets it and subtly communicate this to his partner.

In order to achieve the distinctive style of the Tango it is important to develop controlled footwork, along with fluid graceful movements but the musicality and the intuitive feel between two dancers is what makes the Argentine tango so magical.
This class is designed for The Beginner. No previous experience is required.We begin each class with The Walk and technique exercises to prepare us to dance tango, improving our balance,posture, flexibility, and body movement.
Technique and style are introduced into this course, with more variations in the… CHA CHA, WALTZ, JIVE, QUICKSTEP, RUMBA, SAMBA, also an introduction to MAYFAIR QUICKSTEP and TANGO
