Tap Dance Classes are offered by Cherry Creek Dance.
Owner, Stephanie Prosenjak, opened the studio on October 1, 1993, bringing with her some of the top dancers, teachers, and students from around the Denver metro area. Since opening, Cherry Creek Dance has put on some great performances at events such as the Denver Broncos Halftime Show, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Disney’s Magic Music Days, and other great community events, just to name a few.

You will see our professional company, our Cherry Creek Dance Performing Company actively participating in many community events.

Rhythmic tap, inclusive of buck, clog, wings, etc., based on the modern flair technique of Henry Letang. Also, group precision emphasized. Beginning age 7 years.
Tap dance is simultaneously music and movement. This class draws on a diversity of approaches to integrating the basic fundamentals of these two elements. The emphasis will be on establishing a strong technical foundation of vocabulary, execution, clarity, and time
Tap is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Tap can be traced back to the 1700s and is informed by the Irish Jig, English Clog, and African-American traditional body percussion.
Tap technique that develops a sense of rhythm and coordination through a variety of styles and music, including rhythm, Broadway, and contemporary.
A Tap class provides students a fun and energetic environment to learn strong tap fundamentals and technique. Tap is a fantastic base for rhythm, timing and coordination - all skills that can be used in every dance form, as well as sports and other outside activities
