Tap Dance Classes are offered by Cherry Creek Dance.
Owner, Stephanie Prosenjak, opened the studio on October 1, 1993, bringing with her some of the top dancers, teachers, and students from around the Denver metro area. Since opening, Cherry Creek Dance has put on some great performances at events such as the Denver Broncos Halftime Show, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Disney’s Magic Music Days, and other great community events, just to name a few.
Cherry Creek Dance values:
At Cherry Creek Dance, our mission is to create a family-friendly environment where students, young and old, can build self-esteem, lifelong friends, and a true love for dance. You will see our professional company, our Cherry Creek Dance Performing Company actively participating in many community events.
Our staff, students, and parents stay involved and love contributing to the arts as well. Cherry Creek Dance is at the forefront of the Denver arts community and plays an integral role as both an instructional institution and an advocate for the arts.
Remember that dance, in all its forms, is an art. Its traditions are represented through proper conduct and appreciation of all those who participate in its creation. Enjoy the art of dancing and respect your fellow dancers, teachers, the studio, and yourself.
Tap dance is achieved by using the sounds of metal plates on the bottom of each shoe (at the heels & toes), hitting the floor as a percussive instrument.Â
Rhythmically oriented, tap enhances memory and promotes quick thinking, fast foot work and flexible feet. Ages 5+
Tap Dance Classes are offered by Nashville Dance Center.Nashville Dance Center is very proud of our studio and the quality of instruction that we offer to children of all ages in our community and surrounding cities.
Dancers will be introduced to tap basics that will provide an excellent dance foundation as they grow. Dancers will need any color or style dance wear of their choice (leotards, tights, skirt) and Black Mary Jane Style Tap Shoes.
This fun class will teach dancers the history of tap as well as time steps, rhythm tap, and combinations of steps and sounds. Tap is more than just making sounds with your feet. It is about expressing yourself, percussively, with your feet and body, making music, and making statements.
