DurationWe love tap at Dance Edge with classes from 5 years up we teach the Glenn Wood Tap (GWT) syllabus. Tap is fun and challenging, it gives the well rounded dancer great understanding of rhythm and timing which are both very important elements for all genres of dance.

We pride ourselves on our amazing teaching staff giving our students the opportunity to learn from professionals in the industry. We cater for the serious dancer and those just wanting to have fun. Our students are all rounded performers who excel in all areas of performing arts.... classical ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz, contemporary, acro, singing and acting.
Our tap classes consist of detailed corner work, technical progressions, partnering/group work, as well as working towards a routine for competition and concert.
Tap dancing has become a very distinct art form. It is represented in many musicals and artistic performances.
Here all of the school's students are taught interactive skills and techniques of the ADA syllabus. Consider the many benefits you’ll enjoy when the art of dance creates added poise, co-ordination along with a higher level of confidence and self-esteem.
Using metal plates on the soles of shoes, tap dance creates rhythmical sounds and teaches timing, musicality and creativity.
Tap students learn to have excellent timing and rhythm and the little ones love making lots of noise.
