This art form draws inspiration from other disciplines like Irish dance and African tribal dance to create something that is unique, challenging and fun to learn.

Well-known names like Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, Gregory Hines and Savion Glover are all recognized as innovators who have inspired young dancers across the years. Movie stars like Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly added ballroom dancing and balletic movements to the traditional tap aesthetic.

Dancehouse uses state of the art floating floors with Marley sheet overlays to prevent students from injury while providing the ultimate in dance comfort. Dancehouse offers Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Ballroom and Acrobatics. We accept students ages 3-18.
Dancers will be introduced to tap basics that will provide an excellent dance foundation as they grow. Dancers will need any color or style dance wear of their choice (leotards, tights, skirt) and Black Mary Jane Style Tap Shoes.
In this class we will make music with our feet! Students will explore rhythm and syncopation through fun movement exercises, incorporating footwork, body percussion, and improvisation!
Senior Tap classes are offered by Richardz Dance & Fitness. With an emphasis on great technique and having fun, we help you to get the very best out of yourself and to have a great time doing it.
This is an intermediate level class recommended for students 8-11 years of age. At least 1 year of prior tap training is required for this class.
