Sapna will share tips on spices that aid in the digestion of breads that contain gluten.

Sapna Punjabi Gupta, MS, RDN, LD is a Culinary Wellness Specialist, Registered Dietitian, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and the creative force of beSPICED (www.bespiced.com) based in Dallas, Texas. She connects her Indian roots with her western training to empower people with skills for easy and effortless cooking to find wellness through everyday food and spices. Sapna’s inspiring work and story has been featured in local, national and international publications including Food52, Clean Eating, Costco Connection (both US and UK), Dallas Morning News, Edible Dallas, and she has been recognized as Ayurveda Ambassador of Dallas bythe D Magazine.

 

Menu

  • Plain Roti (an unleavened Flatbread made with Whole Wheat Flour)
  • Spiced Roti
  • Stuffed Aloo Parathas (a simple Flatbread with flaky layers filled with Spiced Mashed Potatoes)
  • Parathas with Spinach & Cheese
  • Stovetop Naan ( a leavened Flatbread)

The breads will be served with the traditional accompaniment of raita, a cooling, herbed yogurt dip.

  • At check-in, you will be asked to sign a waiver before entering the Cooking School.
  • For that reason, we ask that all attendees arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the confirmed start time of the class.
