The Tourism Management department in the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management was established in 1974. It was the first tourism management programme introduced in Malaysia.
The programme incorporates multidiscipline-knowledge and skills required for modern management in the global hospitality industry covering various duties from front office and housekeeping, to Food and Beverage management, to supervision guest experiences, and back office administration
The Diploma in Tourism Management exposes students to global tourism and hospitality practices. The programme also provides them with a good understanding of the latest developments and ethical issues in the dynamic and fast-moving tourism industry.
