This course builds the capacity of service providers and organizations in providing trauma-informed care to 2SLGBTQ people and communities.
We train providers to meet the needs of 2SLGBTQ people and prevent re-traumatization using the principles of trauma-informed care, alongside 2SLGBTQ cultural competencies.
We ask providers to self-reflect on their skills and capacities to support clients healing and repair processes.We do this by acknowledging structural barriers, provider power dynamics, on-going discrimination, and the connections with trauma.
