Higher education needs students who have experience of research, extended writing and meeting deadlines. The two-year Diploma starts by exploring the different organisations, ownership, and business structures within travel and tourism sector and examines how effective marketing and customer service provision is linked.

4 GCSE (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above including maths and English
Assessment
Assessment is by a variety of methods including research-based reports, work booklets, time-constrained assignments, role-plays and presentations. There are also two externally assessed (exam) units on Level 3, these come in the first year. A large amount of private/ independent study is also required.
Where does this Lead
The Diploma is the educational equivalent to two A-Levels. Many students progress straight into work or an apprenticeship. However, it is also possible to continue your studies, at a higher level, by progressing onto a Foundation Degree course at a wide range of universities.
