Trimble SketchUp Introduction

Learn the fundamentals of SketchUp as we guide you through this introduction to the powerful 3D-design program. We will take you through the best practices of design and show you how to create and render 3D compositions. This is a perfect starting point for graphic designers new to 3D.

After we give you a complete tour of the SketchUp environment, we will show you how to put together simple 2D and 3D designs. We start by covering the important concepts that underpin good design and then move on to showing you how to render your compositions and show them off to others.

This 1-day Introduction course will give you the SketchUp skills you need to move quickly from concept to design, whatever your field of work.

Our main objective is to show you how to draw 'the SketchUp way'. Together, we will combine basic drawing skills with a creative approach as we produce simple, functional designs. We cover all the main modelling and editing tools, plus the essential tricks and ways to avoid common pitfalls and mistakes. We use a hands-on approach and by the end of the day you will be confident in creating complex 3D models.

Despite being labelled as an introduction, our course will contain tips and techniques that will appeal to new and experienced users alike, as we lift the lid of some of the program's powerful features.
