According to the Guinness Book Of World Records, the Ukulele is the easiest instrument in the world to play.
According to the Guinness Book Of World Records, the Ukulele is the easiest instrument in the world to play. That doesn't mean you can just pick up a ukulele and play it, but does mean you can learn it quickly and easily.
Within every hurdle is an opportunity to go beyond it. Challenges help you develop skills to transcend them. Expand your mindset to deal with difficulties, develop strategies and solutions to keep you moving forward.
Imagine a system of learning where each step you learn affects the next in a positive way. Progressively your skills expand, growing exponentially as you develop an understanding of The Way Of The Strings.
There is always a solution, if someone else has played it, then it is playable... no matter how complex the parts may be. We help you understand the mechanics, brush away the problems and reveal the solutions.
Its all about getting a balanced process happening, where you are getting a good progressive understanding for the instrument, fret board harmony etc, and how that applies to music and music theory, including (optional) theory grades through the internationally recognized Trinity College of Music London.
Music Theory is encouraged, providing the student is interested. Most importantly I make sure that you are having fun with what you are doing. I do my best to tailor the lessons to suit the individual student so that you are getting to play what you want to play. It’s all about getting you to have fun on the instrument. Enthusiasm is self-sustaining.
A ukulele student learns finger independence, co-ordination, rhythm and group-playing and has a lot of fun with music in the process.
We design a personal program to meet the needs and interests of each student. The basis of this is the lesson book from which we learn our key skills
We’re passionate about what we do and the benefits that learning to play a musical instrument provides.
Not only do students get expert tutoring on a weekly basis we also provide opportunities for our students to collaborate with each other to create a live performance. The show is then performed at a public venue. Groups include choir, guitar ensemble, percussion group and bands.Â
Learning anything musical is a great choice. Music often makes people happy, whether they're involved passively or actively. If you can learn to play, write, produce or record music, you're basically set (on a positive trajectory) for the rest of your life.
