Students must have completed a minimum of recorder level 1 or 9 yrs old before enrolling in ukulele lessons.
Birkdale North Music Centre is a great place where children can learn music, and take part in inexpensive classes held at Birkdale North Primary School on Saturday mornings. Birkdale North Music Centre is for all children from school years 1 to 8.
Children can start at the age of 5 with Introduction to Music class. All children between 6 plus year old start with two basic years. In the first year they start with lessons on the recorder. In their second basic year they can choose either keyboard, violin, ukulele or recorder.
However if students who wish to learn brass or wind instruments later, we highly recommend to learn second-year recorder.
Ukulele classes are offered by Mauao Performing Arts Centre. Education is provided by industry professionals that perform and play within the community.
The Forte method puts the emphasis firmly on fun and is designed to build confidence at the same time as teaching music skills.
Study Guitar or Ukulele with Robin Cederman or Bass and acoustic guitar with Jacqui Nyman. These guitar lessons are available at Rata Studios in Wellington.

Ukulele classes are offered by Hastings Piano Teacher. Hastings piano teacher Wendy Hunt is the person for you. Wendy is happy to teach all, from young children to mature adults, from beginners to advanced students.Â
