Course Details

The ukulele (or ‘uke’ for short) is a small guitar-like instrument with four nylon strings. It is great fun to play with and has become very popular in recent decades.

We often advise very young students who aspire to play the guitar to learn the ukulele to begin with.

At Encore School of Music, we can teach you how to:

Play chords; once you know your chords, you will be able to play lots of songs!
Smoothly transition from one chord to another
Listen to the song and feel the rhythm so you can master strumming patterns
Play fingering exercises
Read ukulele tablature and chord diagrams
Tune your ukulele and change its strings
