The ukulele booklet covers fingerpicking, strumming, riffs, melodies, pop, rock, folk, country and blues, all taught at a nice easy pace. Our ukulele pupils progress fast, build confidence and continue to be passionate about music.
The Rock Academy is a music school whose music lessons are lots of fun and inspiring. We teach with the correct techniques building a solid foundation while keeping our pupils engaged. We are based in the Wellington region and our music teachers are young, dynamic and are known for inspiring their pupils.
Our teachers will travel to you for a more convenient and comfortable lesson. We cover the Wellington region and our teachers manage their time tables to suit you. It is a great experience for the pupils - not only do they get to learn in a comfortable environment, they also build the habit of playing and practising at home.
We design a personal program to meet the needs and interests of each student. The basis of this is the lesson book from which we learn our key skills
Not only do students get expert tutoring on a weekly basis we also provide opportunities for our students to collaborate with each other to create a live performance. The show is then performed at a public venue. Groups include choir, guitar ensemble, percussion group and bands.

Learning anything musical is a great choice. Music often makes people happy, whether they're involved passively or actively. If you can learn to play, write, produce or record music, you're basically set (on a positive trajectory) for the rest of your life.
