Ukulele Lessons are offered by South Philly Music Academy
DurationWe currently offer drums lessons – online or in person!
For in-person lessons, we require that you and anyone accompanying you to the lesson wear a mask or appropriate face covering.
Lessons are typically 30 min/$35 1 time a week.
We teach piano, voice, guitar, bass and drums in our state of the art lesson studios. Our staff is comprised of some of the best instructors this great city has to offer.
Whether you are looking to pursue a career in music or simply looking expand your horizons, we have the perfect instructor for you.
For ages six through adult, our lessons challenge the student to grow steadily in their musical journey. From beginner to pro, we can help you reach your musical goals and dreams.
We are proud to offer placement in one of our student bands! Our 2-4 person student groups perform covers as well as a few original songs during their livestream concerts, viewable on Facebook and Instagram. Student band placement is subject to instructor approval – don’t hesitate to inquire if interested!
Our lesson rooms are well equipped with all current technologies. We also have a comfortable temperature controlled waiting lounge for parents who accompany their child to the lesson (we do require that anyone who wishes to remain in the building wear a mask for safety).

Children will be introduced to ukulele playing in a peer setting with an enthusiastic teacher
The Ukulele is a fantastic instrument, not just for kids, but for students of all ages. Our lessons will teach you the fundamentals of any string instrument, while exploring styles and strumming patterns unique to the ukulele.
The ukulele is uniquely suited to bring big smiles and a rewarding experience to people of all ages. It is inexpensive, has a rich sound, and you can be strumming (and singing?) tunes in your first lesson. Our ukulele teachers offer individual lessons and group classes
We offer ukulele instruction either on its own for 30 minutes a week or as part of a Sing & Strum curriculum in 45- or 60-minute lessons, which can also be taken with a friend or family member.
The Little Folkies Ukulele Jammers class provides a unique opportunity for your child to not only learn how to play an instrument
