About this course
Would you like to be able to whip up a vegan treat with ease? Perhaps you’ve decided to eat plant-based or would like to bake for a loved one, maybe you’re just curious about it all. When we’re used to using traditional ingredients moving to vegan ingredients can seem daunting.
This course will show you how to make a range of delicious vegan treats using common supermarket ingredients, many of which you may already have at home.
Before you know it you will be baking muffins, cakes, cookies and tarts so delicious that people will ask “Are you sure this is vegan?”.
Your expert tutor will give you an explanation of what can and can’t be adjusted in a recipe so you’ll be able to mix up flavours and textures to your heart’s content.
Please be aware that not all of the recipes will be suitable for adjusting to a gluten free diet although many are. Whilst every effort is made to reduce the possibility of cross-contamination, all of the major allergens are regularly used in this kitchen.
Learners will be able to
Whip up a batch of quick muffins
Cook crisp, chewy cookies
Make cakes and decorate with simple icing
Make a tart with a choice of fillings

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?
None!
